Why are my dishes not dry enough in Asko Dishwasher?
    • D
      Danielle BurtonAug 26, 2025
If your dishes are not drying sufficiently in your Asko Dishwasher, try activating the Long dry option. Ensure the dishwasher is fully loaded for optimal drying. Check and top up the rinse aid if needed, or increase the rinse aid dosage. Once the program has finished, open the door a little to help with drying.

      Michelle Rich MDAug 27, 2025
If your dishwasher isn't starting, make sure you have pressed and held the start button long enough, until the display flashes three times. Check that the door is properly closed, and that a fuse or circuit breaker hasn't been tripped. Also, verify that the plug is correctly plugged into the wall socket, the water tap is turned on, and there are no overflows or leaks. If you hear a whirring sound that doesn't stop when the power is off, turn off the water tap, pull out the plug, and call the service division.

What to do if water remains in my Asko D5424 Dishwasher?
    • G

If water remains in your dishwasher, it could be due to a blocked drainage hose. Loosen the hose where it connects to the sink unit's water trap and check for debris, ensuring the cone-shaped part of the pipe is cut to at least 14 mm inner diameter. Also, check for kinks in the drainage hose. Blocked filters can also cause this; clean the coarse and fine filters, and ensure the filter is completely locked with the handle pointing towards the door. Finally, check for debris in the drainage pump.

Why are my Asko D5424 Dishwasher dishes not clean?
    • S
      Sheila HillAug 30, 2025
Several factors can cause this issue. The spray arms might not be rotating due to blockage, so you should remove and clean them. Old detergent can also be the culprit, as detergent is perishable; avoid buying large packages. Incorrect detergent dosage, either too much or too little, impacts cleaning, so adjust according to water hardness. A weak dishwashing program may not suffice, so select a higher temperature or more powerful program. Ensure dishes aren't loaded incorrectly, avoiding covering items or placing tall glasses in corners. Dishes should sit steady to prevent toppling. Finally, a loose filter can cause issues, so screw it firmly into place.

What to do if Asko Dishwasher leaves spots or films on the dishes?
    • D
      Dave ColemanSep 1, 2025
If your Asko Dishwasher is leaving spots or films on the dishes, the rinse aid dosage setting may be incorrect. Also, too high a temperature or too much detergent can cause etching on crystal. Wash crystal at a low temperature and with a conservative amount of detergent. Contact the detergent manufacturer.

Why does my Asko D5424 Dishwasher leave spots on stainless steel or silver?
    • M
      melissaphillipsSep 2, 2025
Spots on stainless steel or silver in your Asko Dishwasher can be caused by certain foods like mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings if left for too long. Rinse off these foods if you're not starting the dishwasher immediately, or use the Rinse & Hold program. Also, contact between silver and stainless steel during dishwashing can cause spots; keep these items separate. Aluminum can also cause spots on dishes.

What to do if Asko D5424 leaves a sticky white/blue film on the dishes?
    • J
      Judy HamptonSep 3, 2025
If your Asko Dishwasher is leaving a sticky white/blue film on the dishes, the rinse aid dosage setting may be too high. Reduce the amount. If you have very soft water, you may want to dilute the rinse aid 50:50 with water.
