5.2 Changing the batteries
You need 4 type AA (Mignon) batteries. We recommend alkaline batteries, e.g.
DURACELL® ULTRA M3
DURACELL® PROCELL
ENERGIZER® ULTIMATE
Do not use batteries that have previously been used.
Do not use damaged batteries.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Make sure that the batteries are useable for a minimum of two to three years.
Open inner fitting
Remove the screws of the decorative housing of the inner casing.
Note
Take care that you do not scratch the door handle when you
remove and put back the decorative housing. Use a cable
protective tube when dismounting and reassembling the
decorative housing.
Guide the decorative housing carefully over the door handle and take
it off.
Change the batteries
Remove the used batteries one at a time from the battery container.
Beware
The system will not function with the batteries inserted
incorrectly. It also cannot be excluded that this could cause
damage to the system or that the batteries could be
prematurely drained.
Put the batteries the correct way round in the battery case.
If you have inserted the batteries incorrectly, take them straight
out again.
The system will not function if the band lies between a battery
and the contact.
Take care that the band is correctly placed.
The band should be behind the batteries to enable them to be
taken out again easily.
