TROUBLESHOOTING
HEATER WILL NOT START
Possible cause
Remedy
Automatic control system fails
Check if power to heater is turned on and
pump is in operation
Pump not running
Start pump
Pump airlocked
Check for leaks, check non return valve
Filter dirty
Clean filter
Pump strainer basket clogged
Clean strainer
Defective heater control
Shut off electrical supply and call for service
Thermostat turned off
Turn on and set to correct setpoint
Set temperature lower than water temperature
Increase set temperature (to heat)
Set temperature higher than water temperature
Decrease set temperature (to cool)
Water too hot-fault condition displayed
Refer to fault indication table
HEATER SHORT CYCLING (RAPID ON AND OFF OPERATION)

Remedy
Insufficient water flow
Clean filter and pump strainer
Defective wiring
Repair or replace wiring
Defective high limit or thermostat
Repair or replace
