ESCD Index
Receiving the sequence ESCD causes the cursor to move down
one line in the same column until it reaches the last line of
the scrolling region or the last line of the screen. If the
cursor is in the last line of the scrolling region, a destruc-
tive scroll will occur (a blank line will appear at the bottom
of the scrolling region). If the cursor is in the last line of
the screen, receiving an ESCD sequence will cause no cursor
movement and scrolling will not occur (unless the last line of
the scree~ is also the last line of the scrolling region). The
cursor will not leave the scrolling region.

the first column of the next line until it reaches the last line
of the scrolling region or the last line of the screen. If the
cursor is in the last line of the scrolling region, a destruc-
tive scroll will occur (a blank line will appear at the bottom
of the scrolling region). If the cursor is in the last line of
the screen, receiving an ESCE sequence will cause the cursor to
move to the first column of the last line; scrolling will not
take place (unless the last line of the screen is also the last
line of the scrolling region). The cursor will not leave the

Receiving the sequence ESCM causes the cursor to move up
one line in the same column until the first line of the scroll-
ing region or the first line of the screen is reached. If the
cursor is in the first line of the scrolling region, a destruc-
tive scroll will occur (a blank line'lfj,ll appear at the top of
the scrolling region). If the cursor is in the top line of the
screen, receiving an ESCM sequence will cause no cursor movement
and scrolling will not occur (unless the top line of the screen
is also the top line of the scrolling region). The cursor will
not leave the scrolling region.
