Installation
Install the telephone base close to a telephone jack and a power outlet 
surface or vertically mounted on the wall (see page 18). For optimum 
range and better reception, place the telephone base in a central and open 
location.
If you subscribe to high-speed Internet service (DSL - digital subscriber line) 
line cord and the telephone wall jack (see page 11
and caller ID problems caused by DSL interference. Please contact your DSL

f Communication devices such as television sets, VCRs, or other cordless 
telephones.
f Excessive heat sources.

f Mechanical vibration or shock such as on top of a washing machine or 
workbench.
