Troubleshooting
Blocking all unknown home calls.
f If you want to block all unknown home calls with numbers or names that are
not in your directory, allow list or star name list, change the settings to block
calls without numbers and uncategorized calls. See Control home calls
without numbers on page 111 and Control uncategorized home calls on
page 112.
Forwarding all unknown home calls to the answering system.
f If you want to forward all unknown home calls with numbers or names that
are not in your directory, allow list or star name list to the answering system,
see Control home calls without numbers on page 111 and Control
uncategorized home calls on page 112.
An icon and New voicemail show on the display and I don’t know why.
f Your telephone has voicemail indication that is separate from the built-in
answering system. If appears on the display, then your telephone has
received a signal from your telephone service provider that you have a
voicemail message waiting for you to retrieve from your telephone service
provider. Contact your telephone service provider for more information on
how to access your voicemail.
I cannot retrieve voicemail messages.
f Your telephone has both a built-in answering system and voicemail
indication. They are independent features and each alerts you to new
messagesdierently(page 150). If you subscribe to voicemail service from
your telephone service provider (charges may apply), contact your telephone
service provider for more information on how to access your voicemail.
I am receiving incomplete messages.
f If a caller leaves a very long message, part of it may be lost when the system
disconnectsthecallaerthemaximumrecordingtimeyouhaveset(page

f If the caller pauses for longer than seven seconds, the system stops
recording and disconnects the call.
f If the systems memory becomes full during a message, the system stops
recording and disconnects the call.
