By default, the screen displays a set of 4 tires. If the vehicle
has no spare tire, the procedure can be stopped at the fourth
tire. To check more that four tires, use the Tire Set Menu and
press the + displayed, to add up to 100 additional tires.
Connect the accessory to the tool, to check the tread depth of a tire set:
• connect the tire tread depth gauge to the RJ45 connector on the tool.
• the green light on the gauge will illuminate, once successfully connected
Starting with the front left wheel:
• apply the tire depth gauge to the inner groove then
press the button on the gauge once to start the
measurement, a beep will sound once measurement
has succeeded.
• apply the tire depth gauge to the centre groove,
without pressing the button on the gauge, hold until the
beep sounds and the second measurement has been
recorded.
• apply the tire depth gauge to the outer groove, hold
until the beep sounds and the outer measurement has
been recorded.
The tire tread depth measurements indicate:
• green = higher than the legal standard,
• orange = close to the legal limit,
• red = underneath the legal limit.
