6.5 Service plan
A number of service operations are grouped in plans, called Service plans A, B, ... as specified in
the preventive maintenance schedule.
Each plan has a programmed time interval at which all service actions belonging to that
plan are to be carried out. When reaching the interval, a message will appear on the screen
indicating which service plans are to be carried out; see section Service menu. After servicing,
the intervals must be reset; see section Service menu.
Intervals
The longer interval checks must also include the shorter interval checks.
The local Customer Centre may overrule the maintenance schedule, especially the service
intervals, depending on the environmental and working conditions of the compressor.
6.6 Oil specifications
Oil type
Use Atlas Copco Roto-Z oil which has been specially developed for oil-free rotary compressors.
This oil has a long service life and ensures optimum lubrication.
Consult section Preventive Maintenance Schedule for the advised replacement interval.
Consult the Spare Parts list for part numbers.
Never mix oils of different brands or types.
6.7 Storage after installation
Mechanical preservation
Run the compressor regularly (e.g. twice a week) until warm.
If the compressor is going to be stored without running from time to time, protective measures
must be taken. Consult Atlas Copco.
Specific requirements for compressors equipped with a frequency converter
Depending on the duration of the storage, a special procedure is necessary to switch on the
power in order not to damage the capacitors of the frequency converter. Contact Atlas Copco.
