4.2.2 Camshaft, Removing and Installing, Ve‐
hicle with Particulate Filter
Removing
– Remove the noise insulation. Refer to ⇒ Body Exterior; Rep.
Gr. 66 ; Noise Insulation; Noise Insulation, Removing and In‐
stalling .
– Remove the air filter housing. Refer to
⇒ “2.2 Air Filter Housing, Removing and Installing”,
page 150 .
– Remove the upper timing chain cover. Refer to ⇒ Servicing –
4-Cylinder 1.8L; 2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; Rep. Gr. 15 ; Timing
Chain Cover; Timing Chain Cover, Removing and Installing .
– Disconnect the connectors -arrows- for the cam adjustment
actuators.
– Disconnect the connector -1- for the Oxygen Sensor 1 After
Catalytic Converter - GX7- -2- and free up the wires.
