AIR PISTON ASSEMBLY
With tool the connected to air supply, depress trigger and disconnect the air supply.
Remove internal circlip 26 and screw piston extractor* into plug 27.
Pull out plug 27 and disengage piston extractor*.
Engage piston extractor* with piston rod 19 and pull out piston assembly 18.
Unscrew piston rod nut 24 and remove: piston washer 23; air piston cup 22; buffer washer 21 and buffer 20.
Assemble in reverse order to dismantling.
AIR VALVE
07340/07344/07345/07346 MODELS (07340-00200 BASE TOOL) - Using spanner* unscrew adaptor 57. Remove: valve spring
58; valve 40; spring 59; valve plunger 29 and valve operating rod 42.
07347 MODEL (07347 BASE TOOL) - Using spanner* unscrew connector bolt 70.
Remove: valve spring 73; valve 40; spring 72; valve plunger 29 and valve operating rod 42.
07348 MODEL (07348 BASE TOOL) - Using spanner* unscrew adaptor 48.
Remove ; valve spring 53, valve 40, spring 54, valve plunger 29 and valve operating rod 42.
Assemble in reverse order to dismantling, paying particular attention to the sealing face of valve 40 and seal diameter of valve
plunger 29 for marks and scratching.
ADAPTOR ASSEMBLY
Grip tool lightly in a vice fitted with soft jaws.
Remove piston assembly 18 as described earlier.
Using socket assembly (adaptor)*, ‘T’ handle extension, unscrew adaptor assembly 12 and facing washer 16.
Remove ‘O’ rings 13 & 38 and back-up rings 14 & 33.
Assemble in reverse order to dismantling, ensuring ‘O’ rings 13 & 38 and back-up rings 14 & 33 are replaced in correct positions.
TRIGGER TIE REPLACEMENT
Using the pin punch* drift out grooved pin 36.
Remove four socket button head screws 34 and pull off trigger guard 52.
Unbend trigger tie loop at trigger cam lever 32 and disengage.
Clean and inspect all components, renewing worn or damaged items.
Assemble in reverse order to dismantling.
Introduce free end of trigger mounting and insert angled end of trigger tie into trigger cam lever 32.
Bend trigger tie over cam lever 32, making sure that it pivots freely.
Position trigger guard 59 on handle 46, insert four socket button head screws 34 and tighten.
Line up trigger assembly 35 with trigger guard 52 and insert new grooved pin 36.
Check free movement of trigger assembly.
I M P O R T A N T
Check the tool against daily and weekly servicing.
Priming is ALWAYS necessary after the tool has been dismantled and prior to operating (refer to page 28).
