Exposurepriority-WhenMotionisprioritized,motionblurintheimageisminimized.Thiscanbeusefulforrecognitionofmoving
objectssuchaspeopleandvehicles.However,prioritizingmotionmaycauseanincreaseinimagenoise,especiallyinlowlight
situations.WhenLownoiseisprioritized,imagenoiseisminimized.Thelesizeisreduced,whichcanbeusefulifstoragespaceor
bandwidthislimited.However,prioritizinglownoisemayresultinaverydarkimage,especiallyinlowlightsituations.
ViewArea
Aviewareaisacroppedpartofthefullview.TheviewareaistreatedasavideosourceinLiveViewandhasitsownvideo
streamandPTZsettings.
Whensettingupaviewareaitisrecommendedthatthevideostreamresolutionisthesamesizeasorsmallerthantheviewarea
size.Settingthevideostreamresolutionlargerthantheviewareasizeimpliesdigitallyscaledupvideoaftersensorcapture,
requiringmorebandwidthwithoutaddingimageinformation.
Toenable,gotoVideo>CameraSettingsandselectEnableViewArea.
Toconguretheviewarea:
1.GotoVideo>ViewArea.
2.SelectanAspectratioandaVideostreamresolution.
3.Usethemousetomoveandresizetheviewarea.
4.SelectEnablePTZtoenabledigitalPTZfortheviewarea.
5.ClickSavetosavethesettings.
Note
ThePTZfunctionalityisusefulduringinstallationoftheAxisproduct.Useaviewareatocropoutaspecicpartofthe
fullview.
Overlay
Overlaysareusedtoprovideextrainformation,suchasforensicvideoanalysisorduringproductinstallationandconguration.
Overlaysaresuperimposedoverthevideostream.
Anoverlaytextcandisplaythecurrentdateandtime,oratextstring.Whenusingatextstring,modierscanbeusedtodisplay
informationsuchasthecurrentbitrateorthecurrentframerate.Forinformationaboutavailablemodiers,seeFileNaming&

Itisalsopossibletodisplaytextwhenanactionruleistriggered,seeUseOverlayTextinanActionRule.

2.Toincludeanoverlayimage,selectIncludeoverlayimageatthecoordinates.Theoverlayimagemustrstbeuploadedto
theAxisproduct,seeOverlayImage.
3.Toincludedateandtime,selectIncludedateandIncludetime.
4.Toincludeatextstring,selectIncludetextandenterthetextintheeld.Modierscanbeused,seeFileNaming&
