Aprivacymaskisanareaofsolidcolorthatprohibitsusersfromviewingpartsofthemonitoredarea.Privacymaskscannotbe
bypassedviatheVAPIX®ApplicationProgrammingInterface(API).
ThePrivacyMaskList,Video&Audio>PrivacyMask,showsallthemasksthatarecurrentlyconguredintheAxisproductand
indicatesiftheyareenabled.
SincethePan/Tilt/Zoomcoordinatesdeneitssizeandposition,aprivacymaskisdynamicinrelationtothemonitoredarea.This
meansthatregardlessoftheangleandzoomofthelens,thesameplaceorobjectwillbehidden.Todeneatwhatmagnicationthe
maskshouldbedisplayed,zoomtothedesiredlevelandclickSetlevel.
Youcanaddanewmask,re-sizethemaskwiththemouse,chooseacolorforthemask,andgivethemaskaname.

•G711isanunlicensedstandardcodecthatisusefulwhenintegratingaudiointoaVoIPsystem
•G726isanunlicensedspeechcodecthatismostcommonlyusedwithinthesecurityindustry.
TheSampleratedenesthenumberoftimespersecondthesoundissampled.Ahighersampleratewillprovidebetteraudio
quality,butalsorequiresagreaterbandwidth.
SettherequiredBitratedependingontheselectedencoding.Ahigherbitratewillgivebetteraudioquality.Alowerbitrate
mayhavelatencyordelay,butwillrequirelessbandwidth.
