Installthehardware
Mountthevideoencoder
Thevideoencoderissuppliedwithamountingkitcontainingscrews,plugs,andprotectivepadsfor
mountingthevideoencodertoaconcretewall:
1.Placethevideoencoderagainstthewall,andmarkthelocationofthetwomounting
holes(seepage8)throughwhichthevideoencoderwillbeattached.
2.Removethevideoencoderanddrillthetwomountingholes.
3.Punchoutthefourprotectivepadsandapplythemtotheundersideofthevideoencoder.
4.Insertthewallplugsintothewall,positionthevideoencoder,andattachittothewall
usingthescrewsprovided.
Connectthecables
1.Connecttheencodertothenetworkusingashieldednetworkcable.
2.Optionallyconnectexternalinput/outputdevices,e.g.alarmdevices.Seepage13for
informationontheterminalconnectorpins.
3.Optionallyconnectanactivespeakerand/orexternalmicrophone.
4.Connectthecamera.
5.Connectpower,usingoneofthemethodslistedbelow:
-PoE(PoweroverEthernet).Ifavailable,thisisautomaticallydetectedwhen
thenetworkcableisconnected(seeabove).
-Connectthesuppliedindoorpowersupplytothepowerconnectoronthe
encoder.
6.CheckthattheindicatorLED:sindicatethecorrectconditions.Seepage13forfurther
details.
