Changing & Sharpening the Knifes...
• Clean all parts and knife slots in the cutterblock.
• Insert the chipbreaker/wedge device with new or sharpened knife and align laterally with the
cutterblock.
• Put the blade setting tool on the top surface of the adjustable infeed table as shown in
fig 24 below. Be sure the face (A) of the blade setting tool is located on the top surface of the
adjustable infeed table, the face (B) to the end face of the infeed table, and the face (C) on the
edge of knife. (See fig 25)
• Press the blade setting tool with one hand, and tighten the clamping bolts (20) by turning
counterclockwise with the 8mm spanner provided. (See fig 26)
• Finally push the cutterblock guard (9) back in position to cover the cutterblock and replace
the guide fence. (See fig 27)

DISCONNECT THE PLANER THICKNESSER FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY
!
The planer-thicknesser MB9020 is designed with a low maintenance requirement. The bearings
are greased for life. After approximately 10 hours of operation we recommend to lubricate the
following parts: (Note we recommend using "Rocol Dry PTFE part no: 810135").
• Bearings of the feed-in and feed-out rollers.
• Bearings of pulley and gear wheel of the belt. Treat threaded spindles for the height
adjustment of the thicknessing table with dry lubrication only!
