Specifications/Instructions
Infilex
GC
Multipurpose Controller
Model WY5111
General
Infilex GC (Infilex: named for “Infinity” and “Flexible”) Model
WY5111 is a multipurpose controller designed to control
building equipment, such as air handling unit (AHU).
Infilex GC enables to control the temperature and humidity, as
well as building equipment operation.
Infilex GC consists of a basic unit and I/O modules, UT
module, integral type Operator Panel, and SAnet interface
module. The number and types of the modules can be
changed corresponding to the control or management to fit in
various applications. Additionally, since the software to be
installed can be freely edited, an optimum application for
building equipment is configured in terms of both the software
and hardware.
Infilex GC is operated with a user terminal and with Operator
Panel to correspond with various situations. Besides, Infilex
GC communicates with Azbil Corporation’s savic-net
FX
BMS through the transmission trunk line called NC-bus. By
sending the operation status to the BMS center unit or by
controlling the operation based on the commands sent from
the BMS center unit, the integrated control of the entire
building can be performed. Azbil Corporation’s field devices,
Intelligent Component Series devices, are also connectable to
Infilex GC via SAnet, allowing high-performance control.
Features
Compact design:
Small size body allows free installation in a desired place.
I/O module configurations:
Input and output types can be selected, and the number
of points to be mounted can be increased or decreased
corresponding to the application.
Editable software configuration:
Optimal software for the contents of your application can
be configured.
User interface module (Operator Panel):
Operator Panel (panel mount type/integral type)
connected to Infilex GC allows you, without changing the
settings from the BMS center unit, to change the Infilex
GC settings.
Remote control with a user terminal:
Neopanel or Neoplate is connectable, so that a user in a
room (remote location) can perform ON/OFF operation
and change temperature setting.
Cooperation with BMS:
Infilex GC integrated into savic-net FX enables to
centrally monitor and control building equipment from the
BMS center unit (client PC).
Autonomous distributed control:
Even if a trouble occurs in the BMS, the backup operation
is performed individually to distribute potential risks
caused by malfunction of the system.
Installation:
A quick-fit screwless (clamp) terminal block for the
communication line reduces wiring work load.
Additionally, either DIN rail mounting or screw mounting
can be selected.
Connection to Intelligent Component Series devices:
Intelligent Component Series devices offering advanced
control are connectable via SAnet.
CE Marking certified:
Infilex GC Model WY5111W0000 (NC-bus model (Line
A)) conforms to all the applicable standards of CE
Marking (Class A).

Maintenance Features

  • Lithium Battery Replacement: The lithium battery for backup (Part No. 83104934-001) must be replaced every 5 years. This is crucial because the remaining battery capacity cannot be accurately checked by measuring terminal voltage.

    • Replacement should only be performed by authorized service personnel.
    • The power supply unit should not be touched during battery replacement.
    • The lithium battery should be replaced with the power ON if the product is always in use.
    • If the product has been rarely or never operated (in OFF state) for a year, the lithium battery should be replaced before resuming operation.
    • The replacement process involves pulling out the battery holder with a slotted screwdriver, disconnecting the old battery, placing a new one, and reinserting the holder. The indication tag should be updated with the next replacement date.
  • Protective Sheet: After wiring, a protective sheet on the device's top surface must be peeled off before powering on the unit. This sheet is applied approximately 20 mm from the front edge and should be torn off along its perforations.

  • Tube Marker Usage: Due to the quick-fit screwless terminal blocks, wires are connected without crimp terminals. To prevent tube markers from detaching, specific Flat Tube Markers (Phoenix Contact, Part No. 5880029, Model TMC-3) are recommended, which are held by friction.

  • System Indication Label: The indication tag on the back of the device has a system indication label where the controller number should be filled in.

Safety Instructions and Precautions:

  • Always disconnect the power source before performing any wiring to prevent electrical shock.
  • Ensure proper grounding with 100 Ω or lower ground resistance.
  • Do not detach the terminal cover except during wiring, and always reattach it securely.
  • Disconnect power before product replacement.
  • Maintain a wire strip length of 8 mm for quick-fit screwless terminal blocks to prevent exposure or poor contact.
  • Do not disassemble the product.
  • Installation and wiring must be performed by qualified personnel according to safety standards and operating conditions.
  • Use crimp terminal lugs for screw terminals.
  • Ensure all wires are tightly connected to prevent heat generation.
  • Install the product in a location inaccessible to unauthorized people.
  • Consider lightning and noise protection.
  • Do not block vent holes.
  • Ensure modules are properly fixed on DIN rails to prevent dropping.
  • Dispose of lithium batteries and the product according to local regulations.
  • Avoid mounting the product in high temperature and humidity conditions.
  • Do not drop the product.
  • Leave at least 35 mm clearance between the top/bottom surfaces of the product and other devices.
  • Allow several tens of seconds for normal product operation after power-on; a temporary "ERR1" indication during this time is not an error.
