Now press the tail pulley into the tail rotor housing and push in the tail rotor shaft. Be
sure to place the grub screw M4 x 4
(B-S12)
exactly over the flat spot on the shaft and
to carefully tighten it. Set the distance between tail rotor hub and tail pitch to 11 mm.
The flat spot on the shaft allows for some play for adjustment. In a next step, screw
the tail bellcrank to the according support with a cylinder head bolt hex M3 x 14
(B-S32)
.
!
Push the tail push rod guide rings on the tail boom and align them evenly. You will
find pre-assembled rubber rings in the tail push rod guide rings that reduce noise and
wear. Grease them for an even higher elasticity. Then slide on the pre-assembled tail
push rod
(B-H12)
and tighten it with a ball joint M2,5
(B-D18)
. Do not clip it on the tail bell-
crank yet. It will later be used to align the bellcrank while the tail servo is in a neutral
position, so that the tail rotor blades are positioned at 0 degree.
The assembly of the tail rotor is completed.
