8. RC installation
In order to avoid any annoyance later on, we recommend to temporarily wire all R/C
components before installation and to perform a basic set-up. Adjusting the FBL-
system with the servos is one of the most important aspects of the set-up. The ser-
vos need to be set on center in their electric neutral position. This enables you to
mount the servo horns
(B-D14/16)
beforehand with pan head bolts M3 x 8
(B-S07)
as close
as possible to a right angle and as even as possible. At this point, pay attention to the
mounting position of the servos later and to a correct programming of the transmitter.
You can then set the servo horns electronically in an exact 90° angle to the servo
housing using the FBL-system.
!
For the tail servo, you need to determine the best position for the servo horn cross. In
Futaba, MKS and Savox servos use the 13,5 mm linkage. Cut off any horn of the
servo horn cross that is not needed. The clevis for the tail push rod will be mounted
there later on. Please take care to insert the pin from the top side into the servo horn.
Make sure to fit the brass bushings into the rubber grommets of the servos.
