Before mounting the RC-unit you need to prepare the swashplate thread rods. Set
the elevator servo push rod to a length of 57 mm and both roll servo push rods to a
length of 50 mm. You need the four ball joints, the threaded rods for the elevator ser-
vo and the roll servo
(B-R13, B-R12)
. Please measure the length with a sliding calliper and
do not take into account any excess length of the injection moulding. Cut off any ex-
cess length with a sharp cutter. Like all ball joints these ball joints, too, have a pre-
ferred direction for clipping onto the ball studs. Both roll servo push rods should show
in the same rotation direction. As for the elevator servo push rod, the ball joints need
to be turned 180°.
Once the elevator servo push rod has been clipped onto the servo horn, you can in-
stall the RC-unit. First clip the ball joint onto the swashplate, then slide it into the
swashplate anti-rotation bracket.
Screw each roll servo with four cylinder head bolts hex M2,5 x 10
(B-S27)
and four
washers M2,3
(B-P08)
to the bearing plate. If the servos touch each other in the middle,
please add additional servo shims
(B-C20)
. In a last step, clip both roll servo push rods
onto the servo and the swashplate anti-rotation.
