7. Working environment
Objects thrown by the trimmer can cause serious injury. Before
operating the trimmer, carefully inspect the area and remove
any broken glass, pieces of wire, and other loose objects –
which can be thrown or entangled in the cutting head. A re
extinguisher must be available for use nearby. Do not operate
in poor light conditions.
8. Use the product only for its intended purpose as
described.
Do not overreach as this can result in loss of balance or
exposure to hot surfaces. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times. This enables better control in unexpected situations.
9. Exhaust danger
Never operate petrol engines indoors or in conned spaces.
Pay special attention to doorways and air conditioning inlets.
Do not allow the exhaust gases to enter buildings. The exhaust
gases fumes contain gasses that can kill. Do not touch areas
around the exhaust or cylinder as these parts become very hot
during operation.
10. Fuel Safety
Warning: This product requires unleaded petrol and 2-stroke
oil, ratio 1:40.
a) Always handle fuel with care. It is highly ammable.
b) Use only an approved container for fuel storage and mixing.
c) Never mix petrol/ oil in the machine fuel tank.
d) Do not smoke, and avoid sparks and ames near fuel or unit.
e) Avoid spillage of fuel or oil. Wipe up all spillages as quickly as
possible.
f) Mix fuel outdoors where there are no sparks or ames.
g) Do not inhale fuel fumes.
h) Move at least 3 meters (10 feet) from refueling position before
starting the engine. Stop the engine and allow to fully cool
before refueling or storing the machine.
i) Never use exposed light bulbs while refueling.
j) Change your clothes if you spill fuel on yourself.
k) Keep petrol and oil away from eyes. If petrol or oil comes in
contact with eyes, wash them immediately with clean water. If
irritation is still present, seek immediate medical help.
