17. Check that all fasteners, guards and handles etc
are in place and secure. Tighten as necessary.
18. Check the fuel level. Starting with a full tank will help to
eliminate or reduce operating interruptions for refueling.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
1. Check the air lter. A dirty air lter will restrict airow to the
carburetor, reducing engine and cutting performance.
2. Check the throttle cable. The cable must be correctly adjusted
and operate smoothly for good throttle control.
3. Replace any damaged parts. Use only the manufacturers
recommended replacement parts and accessories.
4. Make sure the guards are properly installed and securely
fastened..

ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BRUSH
CUTTER
1. Never use the cutter in rain or damp weather.
2. Do not use the blade above 5 cm (2 inches) from the ground.
3. If the brush cutter starts to vibrate excessively switch off and
contact the Helpline for advice.
4. Replace cutting blade if cracked, chipped, or damaged in
any way. Be sure the blade is properly installed and securely
fastened. Failure to do so can cause serious injury.
5. Keep away from cutting blade. Even after the engine has
stopped, the cutting blade will spin for several seconds. Please
wait until the engine and cutting blade has fully stopped before
putting the machine down or accessing the cutting area.
6. Turn the engine off when not cutting. If you stop cutting for any
reason, always stop and switch off the engine. Never leave the
machine running and unattended.
