5.5 Cleaning and inspection
openings
Please note Check exhaust gas pipes!
Exhaust gas pipes must be able to be checked for their free cross-section and for
leaks.
At least one test opening must be provided in the installation room of the POWER HT-A.
Exhaust gas pipes in buildings, which cannot be cleaned or inspected from their
mouth side must have an additional cleaning port in the upper part of the exhaust
system or above the roof.
The exhaust gas pipelines at the outer wall must have at least one cleaning open-
ing in the lower part of the exhaust gas facility.
The ducts for exhaust gas facilities must have no openings other than the necessa-
ry cleaning and inspection ports as well as openings for back ventilation of the ex-
haust gas pipe.
5.6 Gas connection
The gas side connection must only be carried out by an approved heating special-
ist. For the gas side installation and setting, the factory setting data of the equip-
ment and optional label should be compared with the local supply conditions.
An approved thermally activated shut-off device has to be installed.
In case of regionally existing old gas pipes, the installation of a gas filter is recom-
mended.
Residues in pipes and pipe joints should be removed.
5.7 Check tightness
Danger! Danger of life from gas!
The entire gas inlet pipe, particularly the joints must be checked for leakages be-
fore commissioning.
Purging the gas line
The gas line has to be purged before commissioning. For this, open the measuring
nozzle for the connecting pressure and purge by observing the safety precautions.
Check for tightness of the connection after purging!
5.8 Factory settings
The set gas type can be seen on the affixed label on the burner. The data, set by
the manufacturer, has to be checked with the local supply conditions before insta-
lation of the POWER HT-A. The gas pressure controller of the gas valve has been sealed.
5.9 CO2 -Content
The CO
2
content in the exhaust gas must be checked during commissioning and
during regular maintenance of the boiler, as well as, after reconstruction work on
the boiler or on the exhaust gas system.
CO
2
-content during operation see section Technical data.
Please note Risk of damage of the burner!
Too high CO
2
-values can lead to unhygienic combustion (high CO-values) and
damage to the burner.
Too low CO
2
-values can lead to ignition problems.
The CO
2
value is adjusted by setting the gas pressure on the gas valve (see Fig. 27
and Fig. 28 ).
In case of employment of the POWER HT-A in areas with fluctuating natural gas composi-
tion, the CO
2
-content should be adjusted in accordance with the Wobbe Index at
any given time (ask the gas supply company).
The CO
2
-content to be set can be decided as follows:
-CO
2
-content = 9,0 - (W
oN
- W
ocurrent
) * 0,5
The air quantity set in the factory must not be changed.
