Grilling (Closed door)
The Belling platinum db2 has an electric grill in the large oven compartment.
This grill is thermostatically controlled and only suitable for closed door grilling.
Caution Grilling should never be undertaken with the grill/oven door open.
Never operate the grill without the grill roof in place.
WARNING! Accessible parts may become hot when the grill is in use.
DO NOT allow children near the appliance when the grill is in use.
DO NOT cover the grill pan or grid with aluminum foil as this can hold fat,
intensify the heat and create a fire hazard.
THE GRILL CONTROL OVERRIDES THE LARGE OVEN CONTROL
The grill and large oven
CANNOT
be operated at the same time.
The grill
CAN
be operated when the oven timer has been set.
Using the grill
Check that the electricity supply is switched on.
Remove the grill pan, load with food and adjust the top shelf to the height
required.
Close the door, turn the control knob to setting 6 and pre-heat the grill for
approximately 2 mins.
Open the door and place the loaded grill pan on the shelf centrally under the
element. Detach the handle (If used) and store.
Close the door and turn the control knob to the required setting.
Use the detached grill pan handle or oven gloves to adjust or remove the
pan. Turn the food regularly.
The following chart is a guide only.

Small cuts- 2 min 2 6 for 4 mins 15 – 20 mins
Sausages (reduce to 4)
Bacon
Chops etc 2 min 3 4 30 – 40 mins
Gammon
Fish 2 min 2 (In base of pan) 6 8 – 10 mins
Pizzas 2 min 3 4 12 – 15 mins
