Is There Something Wrong With Your Cooker?
Fault Finding Guide
Before contacting your Belling Service Center/Installer, check the problem
guide below; there may be nothing wrong with your cooker.
Problem Check
Nothing Works. Is the main cooker wall switch turned on?
Is the timer working? If the timer is not working it is likely that there is
no electricity supply to your cooker.
Large oven does not work.
Small oven working OK!
Grill working OK!
Ensure timer is set to manual.
(Refer to ‘Timer Instructions’ pages 14-18 )
Ensure the grill control is in the OFF position.
Ignition failure If all burners fail to ignite, check that sparks appear at the burners, a
clicking noise should be heard. If not first check that:
•
The electricity supply is turned on.
•
The mains cooker switch on the wall is in the ON position.
If only a hotplate burner is failing to light check that:
•
The burner cap and ring are fitted correctly.
•
The holes in the burner ring are not blocked.
•
The five hotplates and the small oven may be lit with a match in
the event of ignition failure or power cut to the electricity supply.
