MAINTENANCE AND CARE
4. Insert the large end of the Flex Hose (10) into the Blower function hose port (6). Turn
clockwise to lock in place
5. Attach the Extension tubes (12) to the free end of the Flex Hose (optional)
6. Plug the Power Cable into the wall socket
7. Switch on the unit using the Power Switch (1)
EMPTYING THE DIRT TANK:
1. Disconnect the Flex Hose (10) from the Motor Unit by turning anticlockwise and then
pulling the hose outward
2. Take the unit to disposal area
3. Unclip and lift the Motor Unit (3) from the Dirt Tank and place on the ground
4. Lift the Dirt Tank and empty the contents into the disposal area
5. The Dirt Tank (4) is also equipped with a Drain Plug (9) to easily dispose of liquids
6. Rinse the Dirt Tank under running water and dry before storing
It is necessary to clean the filter after EVERY USE / DAILY
To remove the Microparticle filter, turn the Motor Unit (3) upside down
Grasp the locking mechanism at the bottom of the Microparticle filter (20).
Twist anticlockwise and pull the filter outward to remove – see pictures below.
Gently tap the filter on a solid surface, like the inside of a dust bin, to remove all visible dirt
and dust. Use a brush to remove any large dirt particles or hair from the filter
Wash the Microparticle filter weekly
Wash the filter in warm water.
You may use a mild detergent
Allow to dry completely before
re-installing the filter
Replacement Microparticle filters are
available from major retail outlets
Reassemble and store, ready to use!
CLEANING THE FILTER:
Note: Your Tough 35 is equipped with a Thermal Cut-off Switch that is designed to
protect the motor from overheating. Should the machine switch off whilst working,
unplug and check the Microparticle filter. Clean as explained below. Your machine will
be ready for use again as soon as it has cooled down. See the Troubleshooting Guide
for more information.
TIP: You can also use compressed air to remove dust and dirt from the filter.
IMPORTANT: NEVER USE THE MACHINE WITH A WET FILTER!
