9.1 Remote Microphone Control (static ON/OFF)
- applicable in stand-alone as well as PC-controlled mode
To switch the microphone of an MU on and off statically without sending a speak
request, only the A command has to be sent. In addition to the corresponding MU ID
and the bit position for switching on and off, this command also contains information
about the hardware type and MU flags. This information must be set correctly in order
to avoid abnormal behaviour of the MUs; this should be mentioned again at this point
because the actual switch-on and switch-off process is also carried out with incorrect
information about the hardware type and the MU flags.
The information required can be taken from the x messages, which are sent to the CU
at intervals of 20 seconds. Another possibility is to get it from the entries in the MU list.
This can be combined with a possible desired name query, which is discussed in the
following section.
name who is using a specific MU. It could therefore be necessary to query the list
positions for the MU ID and the name stored under this MU ID beforehand; provided
that the names have been saved.
Please refer to chapter 4 and 5 for a detailed description of the used commands resp.
received messages.
This use case is applicable in stand-alone as well as PC-controlled mode.
