9.2 Remote Microphone Control (speak request based)
- applicable only in PC-controlled mode
In contrast to the direct or hard switching on and off of the microphone of a certain
MU, the speak request based remote microphone control means that the MU must first
send a q message as a speak request. This speak request is then processed further by
the controller or the media control.
The q message is sent by the MU four times in a row, followed by identical a messages
which are only sent in PC-controlled mode and needed for internal reasons. As soon as
the speak request is accepted, an A command is executed, which in comparison to the
first use case is not fully dependent on the media control, but can only be triggered as
a result of the speak request.
Please refer to chapter 4 and 5 for a detailed description of the used commands resp.
received messages.
This use case is only applicable in PC-controlled mode.
Note
In this procedure of switching on the microphone the MU ID and further information
about the MU is supplied in the received q message, but no direct assignment to names
can take place. The query of the names via the MU list positions using the T commands
as in the previous use case is thus also necessary here; provided that the names have
been saved and are required for the further controlling process.
