9.4 Simple voting session (Start/Stop/Results)
- applicable in stand-alone as well as PC-controlled mode
This use case shows how a simple voting session can be realized. Besides the setup of
the voting, the starting, stopping and querying of the results will be discussed.
To be able to apply the voting commands to the individual MUs, their list positions in
the MU list are required, since all voting commands address the MUs directly under their
list positions. So it is absolutely necessary to query the MU list in advance to get the
corresponding MU IDs at the list positions of the MU list.
It must be noted that when reading the voting it can be very important to ask directly
for the names of the people who voted at the MUs involved in the voting. For this reason,
before the actual voting commands are executed, the following scenario also shows
the procedure for querying the stored names under the corresponding MUs in the MU
list; provided that the names have been saved.
This use case is applicable in stand-alone as well as PC-controlled mode.
Please refer to chapters 5 and 6 for a detailed description of the used commands resp.
received messages.
