2.6 Connecting the unit to the mains power supply
2.6.1 Special notes about the mains supply
For all models:
w The unit must be earthed.
w Connect unit in accordance with applicable
local requirements.
For water-heated models and models without heating:
• The unit can be switched on and off from the power sup-
ply. This requires that the control panel be configured for
this purpose.
• If, on delivery, the unit is equipped with a power sup-
ply cable with plug:
Ensure that an earthed wall socket is available no further
than 1.5 m (5 ft) from the connection side of the unit.
n The power point must remain accessible after
installation so that the unit can be disconnected for
service and maintenance.
• If the unit is not equipped with a power supply cable:
Connect the unit to the mains using a power cable (not
supplied). Maximum ratings are specified on the type plate.
It must be possible to disconnect the unit from the mains
supply. You may choose to use either a plugged power sup-
ply cable or an isolation switch.
