  If your BIG ASS FANS Fan won't start, verify that all wires are securely connected, the blue and yellow wires on the controller input cable are wired together (refer to the Wiring Diagrams & Electrical Guidelines section for details), the wall controller has power, the supply power is adequate and functional, and all fuses are functional. If a fuse is blown, see the Replacing Fuses section. If the fan still does not start, contact Customer Service.

  A popping noise from your BIG ASS FANS Fan may be due to airfoils that are not tightened to the specified torque. Switch off power at the service panel and lock the service disconnecting means. If it cannot be locked, fasten a prominent warning device. Tighten the airfoil hardware to 29 ft·lb (39.3 N·m). If popping still occurs, verify that the airfoils are not contacting each other. If they are, please contact Customer Service.

  This is normal and may happen occasionally upon startup as the fan positions itself relative to the motor stator. An initial slight jerking forward and backward does not affect fan operation.

  If you hear a popping noise coming from your BIG ASS FANS Fan: 1. Switch off power at the service panel and lock the service disconnecting means. If it cannot be locked, fasten a prominent warning device! 2. Tighten the airflow hardware to ensure no contact with each other. If hopping still occurs, verify that the airfoils are not contacting each other. If the airfoils are contacting each other please contact Customer Service!
