Installing the front-wheel
stand
ATTENTION
Use of the BMW Motorrad
front-wheel stand without
also using the auxiliary stand
Risk of damage to parts if vehicle
topples
Place the motorcycle on an
auxiliary stand before lifting
the front wheel with the
BMW Motorrad front-wheel
stand.
Place the motorcycle
on an auxiliary stand;
BMW Motorrad recommends
the BMW Motorrad rear-wheel
stand.
Install the rear-wheel stand
( 96).

Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its centre stand.
Use basic stand with front-
wheel adapter. The basic stand
and its accessory compon-
ents are available from your
BMW Motorrad authorised
dealer.
Slacken securing screw 1.
Push the two adapters 2 apart
until the telescopic forks fit
between them.
Use locating pins 3 to set the
front-wheel stand to the de-
sired height.
Centre the front-wheel stand
relative to the front wheel and
push it against the front axle.
Align the two adapters 2 so
that the telescopic forks are
securely seated.
Tighten securing screw 1.
