Installing the rear brake
• Tighten fitted screw 1 with
washer and brake-caliper
screw 2 with bracket A to
specified tightening torque
Always have the tightening
torques checked by a BMW-
certified workshop, preferably
an authorized BMW motorcycle
retailer.
X Tightening torque:
Fitted screw 1 ............... 40 Nm
Brake-caliper
screw 2 ......................... 40 Nm
Motorcycle with BMW Inte-
gral ABS: Once assembly
work on the brake calipers
has been completed, the
brake lever has to be operat-
ed after the ignition has been
switched on and self-diagno-
sis completed, in order to en-
sure full operability.
