48 OPERATION
High-beam headlight and headlight flasher
Switching on the ignition ( 44).
Press switch 1 forward to switch on high
beams.
Pull switch 1 toward rear to actuate head-
light flasher.
Headlight courtesy delay feature
Switching off the ignition ( 45).
Immediately after turning off the ignition,
pull switch 1 back and hold until the head-
light courtesy delay feature turns on.
The vehicle lights light up for one minute
and then turn off automatically.
This can be used, for example, to illumi-
nate the path to your front door after the
vehicle is parked.
Parking lights
Switching off the ignition ( 45).
Immediately after switching off the igni-
tion, push button 1 to left and hold it until
the parking lights come on.
Switch ignition on and then off again to
turn off the parking lights.
Hazard warning system
The hazard warning flashers place a
strain on the battery. Do not use the
hazard warning flashers for longer than ab-
solutely necessary.
Switching on the ignition ( 44).
Press button 1 to turn on the hazard warn-
ing system.
Ignition can be turned off.
To turn off the hazard warning system,
switch on the ignition and press button 1
again.
