The steering system may not be op-
erational.

Emissions
▷ The warning light illuminates:
Worsening emissions, e.g., due to
an incorrectly fitted fuel cap. Have
the vehicle checked as soon as pos-
sible.
▷ The warning light flashes under certain cir-
cumstances:
This indicates that there is excessive misfir-
ing in the engine.
Reduce the vehicle speed and have the ve-
hicle checked immediately; otherwise, se-
rious engine misfiring within a brief pe-
riod can seriously damage emission control
components, in particular the catalytic con-
verter.
Have the vehicle checked by an authorized
service center or another qualified service cen-
ter or repair shop.

Green lights
Turn signal
The turn signal is turned on.
If the turn signal is flashing unusually
fast, this indicates that a turn signal
bulb has failed.

The low-beam headlights are turned
on.

Low-beam headlights are turned on,
and the Automatic High Beam Assis-
tant is activated.

off automatically depending on the traffic.

Lane departure warning
Depending on vehicle equipment and
national-market version:
Indicator light flashes: System is per-
forming a steering intervention.
