4.8 Checking the engine oil lev-
el
● Place the machine on level ground, so that the
engine is in horizontal position.

● Shut the engine down.
● Unscrew the oil dipstick (Fig. 22), wipe it clean
with a lint-free, clean cloth and reinsert it until
it bottoms.
● Pull the dipstick out again and check the oil
level.
Nominal value:
The oil level should reach the top mark. If the oil
level is too low top up oil immediately.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the table
of fuels and lubricants.
● Check the seal on the dipstick, if necessary
use a new one.
● Push the dipstick in until it bottoms.
