Overview

This document is a user's manual for the BORGUSI Motorized Treadmill, Model CTM5102. It provides comprehensive instructions for assembly, operation, maintenance, and safety, ensuring users can effectively and safely utilize the treadmill for their fitness needs.

The primary function of this device is to provide a motorized platform for walking, jogging, and running exercises in a home environment. It is designed to offer a convenient and accessible way for individuals to engage in cardiovascular workouts, regardless of external weather conditions or access to outdoor spaces. The treadmill allows users to control various aspects of their workout, including speed, time, distance, and calories burned, making it suitable for a range of fitness levels and goals.

Usage Features:

The treadmill offers a user-friendly interface with a clear LCD display window that shows essential workout data such as programs, running time, speed, heartbeat data (pulse), calories burned, and distance covered. The display alternates between calories and distance every 5 seconds, providing a comprehensive overview of the workout progress.

Users can choose from various operational modes:

  • Manual Mode: This allows for quick start-up, where the treadmill begins at the lowest speed, and users can manually adjust the speed using the SPEED -/+ buttons.
  • Countdown Modes: The treadmill supports time countdown, distance countdown, and calories countdown modes. In these modes, users can set a target value for time, distance, or calories, and the treadmill will stop smoothly once the target is reached. The SPEED -/+ buttons are used to set the initial data for these modes.
  • Inner Install Programs (P1-P15): The treadmill comes with 15 pre-installed programs, each divided into 20 sections. Users can select a program and set the total running time. The treadmill will automatically adjust speed according to the program's pre-defined segments, with each section's exercise time being the total setting time divided by 20. During a program, users can still adjust the speed using the SPEED -/+ buttons, though the treadmill will revert to the program's set speed for the next section.

For quick adjustments, dedicated speed buttons (1, 3, 5, 7) allow users to change speed rapidly. The handrails also feature buttons for starting/stopping the treadmill and adjusting speed, enhancing convenience during a workout.

A crucial safety feature is the Safety Key Function. The treadmill will stop quickly, and all data will reset to zero if the safety key is pulled out. This ensures immediate cessation of operation in case of an emergency or if the user needs to stop abruptly. All normal operations require the safety key to be in place.

The treadmill also includes a Body Fat Test mode. In standby, users can access this mode via the PROG button. It allows input of parameters such as sex, age, height, and weight. After inputting these values and holding the hand pulse sensors, the treadmill displays the user's BMI data, offering a basic assessment of body composition.

For enhanced user experience, the treadmill is equipped with a Bluetooth Function. This allows users to connect their mobile devices to the treadmill's Bluetooth speakers to enjoy music during their workout. The connection process involves turning on the treadmill and the mobile device's Bluetooth, then pairing with the "QY-BTSP" ID.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is essential to prolong the life and ensure the smooth operation of the treadmill.

  • Cleaning: General cleaning is recommended regularly. Users should clean the exposed parts of the deck on both sides of the walking belt and the side rails to prevent the build-up of foreign material. It is advised to unplug the treadmill from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
  • Motor Cover Cleaning: At least once a year, the motor cover should be removed, and the area underneath vacuumed to maintain optimal performance and prevent dust accumulation.
  • Running Belt and Deck Lubrication: The treadmill features a pre-lubricated, low-maintenance deck system, but periodic lubrication is still required. The frequency of lubrication depends on usage:
    • Light users (less than 3 hours/week): Annually
    • Medium users (3-5 hours/week): Every six months
    • Heavy users (more than 5 hours/week): Every three months Users are advised to purchase lubrication from the distributor or directly from the company. Any repairs should be handled by a professional technician.
  • Running Belt Adjustments: The manual provides instructions for adjusting the running belt to ensure it remains centered and has the correct tightness.
    • If the belt drifts to the right, the right adjusting bolt should be turned 1/4 turn clockwise after unplugging the safety key and power switch.
    • If the belt drifts to the left, the left adjusting bolt should be turned 1/4 turn clockwise after unplugging the safety key and power switch.
    • To adjust belt tightness over time, both the left and right adjusting bolts should be turned 1/4 turn clockwise. These adjustments should be followed by restarting the treadmill and running it until the belt is centered and has the appropriate tightness, which is described as being about 50-75 mm away from the plates on both sides, neither too tight nor too loose.
  • Cool-down Period: It is suggested to turn off the power for 10 minutes after two hours of continuous running to help maintain the treadmill's components.

The manual also includes a troubleshooting guide with error codes (E01, E02, E03, E05) and their corresponding reasons and solutions, enabling users to address common issues.
