Safety of household and similar electrical appliances
In order to avoid hazards posed by electrical appliances, the following re-
quirements apply in accordance with the EN 60335-1 standard:
• “This product can be used by children at least 8 years old, by people with
impaired physical and/or mental abilities, and by people without any expe-
rience in or understanding of the operation of the product, if supervised or
instructed by a competent adult in the safe use of the product so that they
understand the relevant operating risks�”
• “Children should not play with the appliance� Children should not be al-
lowed to clean or maintain the product without supervision of an adult�”
• “If the power cord is defective, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his
service department or a person with similar qualications in order to avoid
hazards�”
