4.4 Replace power modules
! On the power module, only the assembly and
disassembly work described in this publication can
be performed.
! The circuit board on the power module must not
be separated from the heat sink because otherwise
liability for equipment defects ceases to apply.
4.4.1 Removing shielding plate
1. BAT 690 to be disconnected from the mains voltage
system.
2. Remove the power supply cable from BAT 690.
3. Remove housing caps (see sec. 4.1).
4. Remove top part of housing (see sec. 4.2.1).
5. Removing shielding plate (Fig. 11, item 2).

i Both power modules are secured in accordance
with the same principle as in BAT 690. As described
in the following text, both power modules can be
removed.

1. Remove battery cables from power module that need
to be replaced (see sec. 6).
2. Remove the connecting cables for power inlet socket
connector that need to be replaced (see sec. 6).
3. Remove corresponding covers (Fig. 12 / Fig. 13, item
1) from hex nuts on lower part of housing.
4. Remove setscrews (Fig. 12 / Fig. 13, item 5) with
hex key and remove hex screws (Fig. 12 / Fig. 13,
item 2).
