"No battery connected"
Possible cause:
R Battery charging cable defective
R Connection for battery charging cable is defective
R Battery voltage on lead acid batteries is less than 6V
R Battery voltage on lithium iron phosphate batteries
is less than 9V
R Voltage measurement faulty
Remedy:
1. Check battery charging cable for continuity.
2. Replace battery charging cable if there is a
malfunction.
3. Check connection on battery charging cable.
4. Replace battery charging cable connection if there is
a malfunction.
5. Check nominal voltage of battery.
6. Only charge lead-acid batteries and lithium iron
phosphate batteries with a rated voltage of 12V or
24V.
7. Define power module 1 with jumper setting as Slave
1 (see sec. 4.4.4).
8. Connect power module 2 to circuit board M1 and
BAT 690 check function.
If BAT 690 functions, power module 1 is defec-
tive.
If BAT 690 does not function, power module 1
and power module 2 are defective.
9. Replace power module 1 and/or power module 2.
"Warning! Checking clips"
Possible cause:
Clips are not properly connected to the battery.
Remedy:
1. Connect clip on red battery charging cable to
positive terminal of battery.
2. Fit clip on black battery charging wire to negative
terminal of battery.
"Warning! Overvoltage"
Possible cause:
Battery connected via 24V mains voltage.
Remedy:
1. Check nominal voltage of battery.
2. Only charge lead-acid batteries and lithium iron
phosphate batteries with a rated voltage of 12V or
24V.
"Fault! Call customer service"
Possible cause:
Communication fault between circuit board M1 and
power module 1
Remedy:
DANGER – Risk of electric shock from live
parts. Observe the electrical engineering safety
regulations.
1. Establish and secure connection between circuit
board M1 and power module 1 (see sec. 6).
2. Establish and secure jumper settings on power
module 2 (see sec. 4.4.4).
3. Connect customer service circuit board M1 to power
module 1 and BAT 690 check function.
If BAT 690 functions with the customer service
circuit board M1, the M1 circuit board of the cus-
tomer is defective.
4. Replace the customer's M1 circuit board.
5. Check auxiliary voltage at power module 1 and
power module 2 at measuring points IC 14 Pin 1 and
GND1 Pin 4 (see sec. 5.6).
Auxiliary voltage must be between 11-13V.
6. Replace corresponding power module if auxiliary
voltage differs.
"Fault no.: 10"
Possible cause:
Clips are not properly connected to the battery.
Remedy:
1. Connect clip on red battery charging cable to
positive terminal of battery.
2. Fit clip on black battery charging wire to negative
terminal of battery.
"Fault no.: 20"
Possible cause:
R Battery charging cable defective
R Connection for battery charging cable is defective
R Battery voltage on lead acid batteries is less than 6V
R Battery voltage on lithium iron phosphate batteries
is less than 9V
R Voltage measurement faulty
Remedy:
1. Check battery charging cable for continuity.
2. Replace battery charging cable if there is a
malfunction.
3. Check connection on battery charging cable.
4. Replace battery charging cable connection if there is
a malfunction.
5. Check nominal voltage of battery.
6. Only charge lead-acid batteries and lithium iron
phosphate batteries with a rated voltage of 12V or
24V.
