..3. Operation
If the yellow LED flashes (battery lies in un-
der-voltage range) the start-assist measu-
re may not be performed. You should first
charge the battery at least until the yellow
LED lights continuously.
Start the engine
The start-assist measure should only be run
for a maximum of 8 seconds! After this a
cooling-down phase of approximately 7 mi
-
nutes for each case should be adhered to.
Switch off the battery charger after the
start-assist measure.
Disconnect the crocodile clips from the
battery (remove the blue negative one
first).

3.6 Troubleshooting
Battery charger does not function after
switch on (red LED does not light):
Unplug the mains cable and check the
mains supply and the mains fuse system.
Red LED flashes after connecting the batte
-
ry terminals:
Check that the battery is correctly con
-
nected. The red crocodile clip must be
connected to the battery’s positive termi-
nal (+) and the blue one to the negative
terminal (-).
Possible interruption to the charging process:
If the battery charger’s transformer re
-
aches temperatures of > 150 °C during
operation, a thermostatic switch integra
-
ted into the transformer will switch off the
charging process and then switch it on
again after it has cooled down.
