Function Description
The Bosch WGB244ALSN is a washing machine intended for washing machine-washable fabrics and hand-washable wool, using tap water and commercially available detergents. The appliance features a continuous automatic load adjustment function, which optimizes water consumption and program duration based on fabric type and load capacity. An Aqua-Sensor further enhances efficiency by checking rinse water turbidity and adjusting rinse cycles accordingly.
The washing machine includes an intelligent dosing system that automatically dispenses optimal quantities of liquid detergent and fabric softener based on the selected program and settings. This system can be activated or deactivated as needed. For programs where intelligent dosing is not possible or desired, manual detergent addition is also supported. The appliance also offers a "SpeedPerfect" function to shorten program duration, though this increases energy consumption. The "AntiStain" feature allows users to select specific stain types, adjusting temperature, drum movement, and soaking time for effective removal.

- Easy Care: For synthetic or blended fabrics (Max. 4.0 kg, 60°C, 1400 rpm).
- Mix: For cotton, linen, synthetic, or blended fabrics (Max. 4.0 kg, 60°C, 1400 rpm).

Maintenance Features
Regular cleaning and servicing are crucial for the appliance's long-term efficiency.
- Drum Cleaning: A reminder to clean the drum can be activated. It is recommended to regularly run a drum cleaning program (e.g., Cotton 90°C) or wash at temperatures of at least 60°C, using washing powder with bleach, without laundry.
- Detergent Drawer Cleaning: The detergent drawer, including the pump unit and cover, should be cleaned if the liquid detergent/fabric softener is to be replaced with a different product or if the drawer is dirty. The pump unit contains electrical components and should not be immersed in water or cleaned in a dishwasher.
- Drain Pump Cleaning: The drain pump should be cleaned regularly (at least once a year) and in case of faults like blockages or rattling noises. This involves emptying the pump, unscrewing the pump cap, removing any dirt, cleaning the interior and components, and reassembling correctly.
- Intake Opening in Rubber Gasket Cleaning: The intake opening in the rubber gasket should be checked regularly for blockages and cleaned.
- Water Inflow Filter Cleaning: If water pressure is low, the water inflow filter may be blocked and should be cleaned.
After every operation, it is recommended to leave the appliance door and detergent drawer open to allow them to dry and prevent damage.
