TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT.)
Power LED
remains red after
booting
Most often the result of a design file/firmware mismatch.
If necessary, retrieve saved design from the EX-1280C, then send a blank design to the EX-
1280C. The LED should change to white.
Re-send the previous design after it has upgraded by importing the design into the latest
version of CSD.
No EX-1280C
network
connectivity
Ensure the EX-1280C is connected to the network using the RJ-45 jack labeled
ControlSpace.
Check that the network activity LED built into the ControlSpace RJ-45 jack is illuminated or
blinking to confirm an active network connection.
Unexpected EX-
1280C IP address
of 169.X.X.X
or 172.X.X.X.X
is shown in
Network Settings
– CS front panel
menu
The EX-1280C will default to these ranges if set to DHCP while no DHCP server is present
on the network. Add a DHCP server to the network or change EX-1280C to a static IP
address.
Problem What to do
No AmpLink
audio received
from EX-1280C
connected to
an AmpLink-
enabled amplifier
Ensure shielded CAT-5 network cable is used for AmpLink and set the amplifier to receive
AmpLink channels 1-8.
No EX-1280C
Dante audio
subscriptions or
audio
Ensure the EX-1280C’s Dante IP address is on the same network as the EX-1280C’s
ControlSpace control IP address. This can be checked on the EX-1280C Config > Dante Info
front panel menu (see page 25 for more information). To change the EX-1280C Dante IP,
use Audinate’s Dante Controller software. Sometimes it can be helpful to change the PC’s
network settings from static IP to DHCP to view and change the Dante IP address.
