Launching & retrieving the Fish
Seeker
The Fish Seeker uses a compass eld to navigate and maintain the direcon
heading you direct it to.
Step Acon
1 Place the Fish Seeker into the ocean deep enough so it oats
(about 20 cm) and launched using the start command. Make sure
at the me of launch that the rod and reel that the Fish Seeker is
aached to is secure. This could either be by using a shing rod
holder or having another person with you to hold the rod. Make
sure the reel has been set to let line out prior to launch.
2 The unit will then travel out to sea in the direcon that you have
earlier set for the selected run me. Once the unit has completed
its run, it will stop and open its hatch to release the sinker and
hooks. To ensure all the hooks and line are dropped from the bait
pod, the unit will run again for a further 30 seconds.
3 Aer a period of me shing (we recommend 10 to 60 minutes),
the unit is now ready to be brought back in to shore. Reel the unit
back in using your shing rod as you usually would bring your line
in. Reel the line back in at a steady pace, do not go too slowly
or you run the risk of dragging the sinker along the sea bed and
snagging the line. Ensure the sh seeker is not dragged along the
boom when it reaches shallow water. Only reel in the line when
the Fish Seeker is oang.
4 Once the unit is back on shore, take all caught sh o the hooks
and release any undersized sh.
