What to do if my Bredel Water Pump fails to operate?
    • M
      Ms. Melissa DaltonAug 12, 2025
If your Bredel Water Pump fails to operate, start by checking if the supply power switch is turned on and ensure the electrical supply is available at the pump. Also, verify that the pump isn't stalled due to incorrect hose fitting. Finally, check if the lubricant level monitoring system has been activated, potentially stalling the pump; inspect the system's functionality and the lubricant level.

What to do if my Bredel Water Pump has low capacity or pressure?
    • J
      Jason LoganAug 16, 2025
If your Bredel Water Pump experiences low capacity or pressure, first ensure that the shut-off valve in the suction line is fully open. Check for any hose ruptures or signs of wear, and replace the hose if necessary. Also, inspect the suction line for blockages and confirm sufficient product availability. Tighten any loose connections and hose clamps to prevent air suction.

How to stop my Bredel Water Pump from vibrating?
    • D
      Douglas WarrenAug 25, 2025
To address vibration issues in your Bredel Water Pump and its pipework, start by checking and securing the pipework to ensure the suction and discharge lines are correctly fastened. If the pump speed is high, especially with long suction and discharge lines or high relative density, reduce the pump speed. If possible, shorten the line lengths on both suction and discharge sides. Also, examine the diameter of the suction and discharge lines; if they are too narrow, increase the diameter.

Why does my Bredel 10 hose have a short life?
    • W
      William BlevinsAug 27, 2025
If you are experiencing a short hose life with your Bredel Water Pump, consider these factors: chemical attack of the hose, high pump speed and high discharge pressures. To solve this problem, you should check the compatibility of the hose material with the product to be pumped and reduce pump speed. Also, check that the discharge line is not blocked, the shut-off valves are fully opened and the pressure relief valve functions properly (if present in the discharge line).

What to do if the hose is pulled into my Bredel 10?
    • E
      Elizabeth RodriguezAug 31, 2025
If the hose is being pulled into the Bredel Water Pump, it could be due to insufficient or no hose lubricant in the pump head. Add extra lubricant. Another cause could be incorrect lubricant: no Bredel Genuine Hose Lubricant in the pump head. Extremely high inlet pressure can also cause this issue. Reduce the inlet pressure.

Why is my Bredel 10 Water Pump leaking lubricant at the bracket?
    • R
      Rodney HarrisSep 4, 2025
If you notice lubricant leakage at the bracket of your Bredel Water Pump, it could be due to a hose blocked by an incompressible object. Remove the hose, check for blockages, and replace it if necessary. Another potential cause is loose bolts on the bracket or hose clamps. Tighten them to the specified torque settings.

What causes leakage from the rear of the Bredel Water Pump housing?
    • T
      Timothy MorrowSep 7, 2025
If you observe leakage from the rear of the pump housing "Buffer zone" of your Bredel Water Pump, it is likely due to a damaged seal ring. You should replace the seal ring.

Why is my Bredel 10 Water Pump overheating?
    • J
      Jennifer LopezNov 19, 2025
If your Bredel Water Pump is experiencing a high temperature, there might be several reasons. One potential cause is the use of a non-standard hose lubricant. It is recommended to consult your Bredel representative to identify the correct lubricant. Another cause could be a low lubricant level. You should add Bredel Genuine Hose Lubricant. High pump speed can also cause the pump to overheat. Reduce the pump speed to a minimum. Internal friction on the hose caused by blocked or poor suction characteristics can also cause the pump to overheat. Check pipework/valves for blockages and ensure that the suction pipework is as short as possible and that the diameter is large enough. Another potential reason is a product temperature that is too high. In this case, you should consult the Bredel repr...
