  If your Briggs & Stratton Portable Generator engine won't start, runs rough, or shuts down, check the following: * Ensure the engine switch is in the ON (I) position. * Verify the oil level and fill the crankcase to the proper level, or place the generator on a level surface. * Make sure the fuel tank is full. * Confirm the spark plug wire is connected to the spark plug. * If flooded with fuel, wait 5 minutes before re-cranking the engine.
