Dealing with Problem Installations
(cont.)
Condensation:
Condensation in evaporative systems may be a result of the humidified air from the
outlets, passing over a surface that has a temperature cool enough to condense the
vapour suspended in the air, onto the cool surface.
An example of this is an outlet air stream directed onto a refrigerated cabinet in a
shop, or moist air contacting a cool tile floor surface.
In most cases, the concentration of the air from the outlet is the main contributing
factor for the condensation, therefore it is advisable to redirect the air stream.
Condensation may also result from excessive humidity, due to either the current
climate conditions, or that the conditions have changed rapidly, cooling the room air
that has a high humidity or water vapour content.
Excessive humidity may also be a result of an inadequate exhaust area.
Make sure enough window and/or door area is open, for the unit to work correctly.
The table below shows a guide to the amount of opening required, for effective
cooling for each model.
