detergentsolutiononstainlessandpaintedsurfaces.
Cleanall-metalltersinthedishwasherusinganon-phosphate
detergent.Discolorationoftheltermayoccurifusingphosphate
detergents,orasaresultoflocalwaterconditions-butthiswill
notaffectlterperformance.Thisdiscolorationisnotcovered
bythewarranty.
Cleanthenon-ductrecirculatingltersurfacesfrequentlywith
adampclothandamilddetergent.DONOTimmerseltersin
waterorputindishwasher.Thespecial“CleanSense”feature
indicateswhenthelteristobereplaced.Theblueandyellow
stripswillblendtogreenwhenitistimetochangethelter.The
“CleanSense”featureworksbestwhenfacingtowardthecook-
ingsurface.Changethenon-ductrecirculatingltersevery6
months.Forreplacementnon-ductrecirculatinglters-purchase
S97018088orModelFILTER30.
Themotorispermanentlylubricatedandneverneedsoiling.If
themotorbearingsmakeexcessiveorunusualnoise,replace
themotorwiththeexactservicemotor.Theimpellershouldalso
bereplaced.
PREPARE HOOD LOCATION
1 Determinewhetherhoodwilldischargevertically(3¼”
x10or7”Round),orhorizontally(3¼x10only).For
verticalorhorizontaldischarge,runductworkbetween
thehoodlocationandaroofcaporwallcap.Forbest
results,useaminimumnumberoftransitonsandelbows.
2 Usetheproperdiagrambelow,forplacementofductwork
andelectricalcutoutincabinetorwall.Foranon-ducted
installation,DONOTcutaductaccesshole.

VERTICAL DUCTING
OPERATION
AlwaysturnthehoodONbeforecookinginordertoestablishan
airowinthekitchen.Afterturningofftherange,letthehoodrun
forafewminutestocleartheair.
Operatethehoodasfollows:

onthecooktop.Pleasenotethatcookingontherearburnerswill
alwaysresultinthebestcaptureofcookingimpurities,regardless
ofthehooddesign.
