Routine Maintenance
The drum unit is nearing the end of its rated life and will require replacement. We recommend you keep a
Brother Original drum unit ready for installation.
Clean the corona wire in the drum unit. If you don’t, printed pages may have a vertical stripe or Drum Error
may occur. (See Cleaning the corona wire uu page 112.)
Replace Drum 5
The drum unit has exceeded its rated life. Please replace the drum unit with a new one. We recommend a
Brother Original drum unit be installed at this time.
After replacement, reset the drum counter by following the instructions included with the new drum unit.
Drum Stop 5
We cannot guarantee the print quality. Please replace the drum unit with a new one. We recommend a
Brother Original drum unit be installed at this time.
After replacement, reset the drum counter by following the instructions included with the new drum unit.
