Brother TN-430/TN-460 Cartridge Remanufacturing Steps

Lift and Clean Developer Roller

Lift the developer roller and clean it with a lint-free cloth, avoiding solvents.

Clean Toner Hopper and Developer Blade

Discharge toner, clean hopper with air/vacuum, and clean developer blade with a dry cloth.

Reassemble and Fill Cartridge

Reassemble in reverse, fill with appropriate toner load for TN-430 or TN-460.

Remove Corona Wire Assembly Screws

Remove screws securing the corona wire assembly using a Phillips screwdriver.

Remove Drum Cleaning Assembly Screws

Remove screws holding the drum cleaning assembly (felt, recovery blade, scraper-blades).

Clean Drum Cleaning Assembly

Remove and thoroughly clean the drum cleaning assembly of all old toner.

Remove Drum Shaft Retaining Washer

Release the retaining washer from the left side to remove the drum shaft.

Extract and Clean Transfer Roller

Extract transfer roller, clean it with air/vacuum, avoiding solvents.

Check Electrical Continuity

Use a tester to check electrical continuity between the assembly contact and the drum shaft.
