1.4 General Safety Precautions
The following general safety precautions must be observed during all phases of
operation, service, and repair of the BR3000-330-2CL, -3CL, & -2EN Mood Lighting
systems:
1.4.1 Electrostatic Discharge
The integrated circuits (ICs) and other semiconductor devices employed in the BR3000
MLS are susceptible to damage via electrostatic discharge (ESD). Careless handling
during repair can either damage or dramatically reduce the Mean Time Between Failure
(MTBF) of the unit.
1.4.2 Modification of Equipment
Never attempt unapproved modification of the BR3000 MLS. Unauthorized modification
of the BR3000 MLS can result in unsafe conditions that could cause harm to both
equipment and personnel. Furthermore, never attempt substitution of any component
within the BR3000 MLS with non-approved substitute components or materials.
