3.4 Grounding
The amplifiers signal ground and chassis ground (protective earth) are not directly connected
to each other in order to prevent ground-loop interference. However, internal components
ensure that the potential difference between chassis and signal ground does not exceed
approximately 0.6V. These components are two antiparallel power diodes and a 100Ω resistor.
If, however, you wish to tie the signal ground to chassis, connect the XLR-connectors shell
lug to pin 1. In the interest of safety, never disconnect the earth pin on the AC power cord.
